Being near a petrol bunk is actually pretty handy because everyone knows where it is. We spend most of our time staring at screens and talking on the phone with drivers or people looking to go somewhere. The office isn't very big, mostly just some chairs and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. Mathikere can get really crowded, especially during the rush hour when everyone is trying to get fuel. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people get from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the cars are out, sometimes they’re in for service, and it’s always a bit of a juggle. We don’t do any of that big corporate stuff, it's just us here making sure the bookings are right. Most of our regulars just drop in after they fill up their tanks next door. My nephew helps out with the paperwork sometimes, though he’s more interested in his phone than the filing. We deal with all sorts of requests, from short trips to longer ones that take a few days. It's a lot of coordination and hoping the weather stays clear.
