Baba Gift Centre

If you go down into the basement of MKS Arcade, you will find us. We are at shop number 1. The building is right on Bellary Main Road in the Ganganagar area. Baba Gift Centre has been here for years. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, but we do not get much sunlight at all. We have shelves packed with all kinds of gift items and small knick-knacks. It is a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles when we have more than two or three people in the shop at once. We try to keep things dusted, but it is hard with all the traffic on Bellary Road blowing dirt inside. Most people find us while they are walking to the other shops in the arcade. It is a simple, old-fashioned shop. We do not use a computer for every little thing; we still write some sales down in a paper notebook. The rent is okay and the location is good for a small business. We see a lot of people from the Ganganagar neighborhood coming in for odds and ends. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely down in the basement when the arcade is quiet. But usually, someone drops in eventually for a birthday card or a small plastic toy. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything fancy. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the customers to arrive. It is just a local gift shop.
