B R Kumar is located over in Chamrajpet at 2nd Cross, house number 246. Chamrajpet is one of those older parts of Bangalore where the streets are a bit narrower and there are lots of old trees still standing. Our place is tucked away in a quiet corner of the cross. It’s not a big corporate office; it’s more of a traditional workspace where we handle our daily business. We spend a lot of time at our desks dealing with various documents and talking to people who come by for meetings. The building itself is an older structure, so it has a different feel compared to the new glass buildings you see elsewhere. There’s a small porch out front where we sometimes take our tea breaks and watch the neighbors go by. It’s a very local atmosphere here. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights. Most people who come to see us already know the address or were told by someone else. It gets a bit busy in the mornings when the postman arrives and we have to sort through all the mail. We’ve been operating from this 2nd Cross address for many years now, and we’ve become quite familiar with the rhythms of the street. It’s a simple, steady way of working without much fuss. We just keep things moving along and make sure our daily tasks are finished before the sun goes down.
