Azam Hameed is on the first floor at 2/4, right across from Friends Bakery. Being on Bannerghatta Main Road in Bangalore means there is never a quiet moment. The traffic is always moving, and you can smell the fresh bread and puffs from the bakery early in the morning. We are in the first stage of Old Guruppan Palya. To get to us, you have to go up a narrow flight of stairs. The first floor isn't very large, but it’s enough space for what we do. The building is older, and the windows rattle a bit when the big buses go past on the main road. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine that does anything special. Usually, we just grab a cup from the stall downstairs. It’s a very busy neighborhood with people from all over. You see all sorts of things happening on the street below if you look out the window for a minute. The address 560029 is right in the heart of things. We like being near the bakery because it makes it easy for people to find us. "Just look for Friends Bakery," we tell them. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us here. Azam Hameed is just the name on the lease and the door. We stay busy and keep things moving.
