Avant Garde

Avant Garde is tucked away over on Ulsoor Tank Road at number 16. It’s a pretty good location if you like being near the water, though we spend most of our time inside looking at screens or paper. The office is pretty simple. We don't have a big receptionist area or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a desk. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners on the street. It’s a nice little community. People always ask about the name, but we don’t think too much about it. We just focus on the daily tasks. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to catch up on filing. Other days it’s a bit of a rush to get things out the door. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We’re just a small group of people working together in a regular office. The space is a bit small, but it’s enough for what we need. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most people find us because they live in the area or they were walking by and saw the sign. It’s a low-key way to do things, and it works for us. We just want to do our work and go home at the end of the day. It’s just a regular job. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls. We just have our desks.
