Auto Edge Engineering

Auto Edge Engineering is over in Peenya, specifically at number 9 on the 10th Cross in the 1st Stage. If you know Peenya, you know it’s a maze of industrial units. We fit right in. Our shop is where we do various engineering tasks for vehicles and machinery. It’s a noisy place with the sounds of grinders and drills going all day. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil stains on it. We aren't trying to be fancy. We have our lathes and our welding kits and that’s about it. Some days we are working on custom parts, other days we are just fixing something that’s worn out. The traffic in this part of town is pretty bad, so we usually get here early to beat the rush. We have a small crew. We’ve worked together for a long time, so we don’t need to talk much to get things done. It’s a practical environment. There’s no air conditioning, just a few fans that move the air around. We end up fixing a lot of things that other people might just throw away. It’s just a local engineering shop doing its thing in a big industrial estate. We’re usually here until late if there’s a big job to finish. The coffee guy comes around at eleven and four, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the bench.
