Atithya Hotel

Atithya Hotel is situated at number 93 on Gandhi Bazar Main Road in the Basavanagudi area. If you know Bangalore, you know how busy Gandhi Bazar gets, especially during festival seasons. We are right in the thick of it. The smell of flowers and incense from the street markets often drifts in through our front door. We have been in this spot for a good while, and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, though it still keeps its old Bangalore charm. Our building is a standard multi-story structure, nothing too fancy. We have a small staff who knows most of the shopkeepers nearby. We spend our days managing the rooms and the small dining space we have. It is often noisy outside with the vendors shouting and the traffic, but we are used to it. The 560004 area is one of the older parts of the city, so the buildings are close together and the streets are narrow. We do our own maintenance mostly, painting the walls when they get scuffed and fixing the furniture ourselves. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. It is a busy, tiring job, but it is what we do. We like being part of the market life here on Gandhi Bazar road, even when it is crowded.
