Asur Bhavan

We are located at Jasma Bhavan in Neelasandra, which is in the 560047 area. It’s an older part of town and we’ve been here for quite some time. The building itself has been around for a while. We use this space for various gatherings and community things. It’s not a fancy modern hall with air conditioning in every corner, but it’s a solid place that serves the purpose. People in Neelasandra know the building well. We spend a lot of our time making sure the place is ready for whoever is using it next. Sometimes it’s for a small family function and other times it’s for something more general for the neighborhood. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us looking after the place. The walls have been painted a few times, but the character stays the same. It can get a bit crowded on the streets outside, especially on weekends when there's an event. We try to keep things organized as much as we can. It’s a very local spot. You won’t see us in many magazines or big ads. Most people just walk in or call us because they live nearby and know our faces. It’s a functional space. We don’t try to make it something it isn’t. We just keep the doors open and the lights on for the community here in Bangalore. It’s been a part of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember.
