Asst-Manager

I work out of GNG Colony in Varatharaj Puram, which is in the Ambattur area of Chennai. My name is G. Varunesh and I handle the day-to-day things as the assistant manager. The office is at No 26. It’s a standard residential street where most people know each other. Ambattur is a bit of an industrial area, so there is always some noise from the factories or the traffic nearby. My desk is usually covered in receipts and ledgers. I don't have a big team, just a couple of people helping out. We spend a lot of time making sure the numbers match up at the end of the month. It’s not very exciting work, but it’s important. The building is a bit old and the walls could use a new coat of paint. We have a small window that looks out onto the colony road. Sometimes when it rains heavily, the street gets a bit flooded and we have to move some stuff around. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted up. We just come in at nine, do the accounts, and leave when the work is finished. It’s a quiet life in this part of Chennai. I’ve been in this role for quite some time now. Most people just call me when they have a problem with their paperwork.
