Associate Software Engineer

This is Suma Bai R, and I work out of Kumaraswamy Layout Ist Stage here in Bangalore. My place is right on 6th Cross, near the 3rd Main road. It’s a busy residential area, but it’s where I’ve set up my workspace. Being a software engineer in this city means there is always something to do. I don't work for one of those giant companies with the glass buildings. Instead, I do things from here at house number 1662. It’s more personal this way. I handle various software projects, mostly just me and my computer. The internet connection is usually good, which is all I really need. Bangalore-78 is a nice part of town, and I’ve lived here long enough to know the shortcuts. Sometimes clients come by to talk about their projects, but mostly we just chat online. I don't use a lot of jargon. I just try to build things that work properly. My desk is usually a bit of a mess with notebooks and wires, but I know where everything is. It’s a small operation, but I take the work seriously. I’m not trying to be a big corporation. I just want to do a good job and keep my clients happy. That’s how I’ve always approached my work since I started. Some days the power goes out, so I take a break and walk down the street for a coffee. It keeps things grounded. I’ve been coding since I was a student and I still enjoy the logic of it all.
