Asian Diagnostics

We’ve been here at No. 28 for a while now. It’s right across from Vani Vilas Hospital, so K. R. Road is always busy. People come in early for their tests, usually before they’ve even had breakfast. We open the doors, get the machines ready, and start taking samples. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat in the small back room when there’s a quiet moment. Sometimes it gets crowded in the waiting area, especially on Monday mornings. You can hear the traffic and the sirens from the hospital outside all day. It’s just how it is here. We handle a lot of paperwork and make sure the names on the vials are clear. It's not fancy. There are some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We try to get the reports out as fast as we can because people are usually waiting to show them to their doctors across the street. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in. It’s a regular lab doing regular work. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to the elderly. Most of them are just worried about their health and want to get their blood work done without too much fuss. We just keep going, day after day, through the heat and the rain on K.R. Road.
