Our shop is located at 78 in the Russel Market area of Sri Nagar. Being in a market means there’s always something going on around us. There are noises and smells from all the other stalls nearby. We’ve been at this location for a long time. We mostly deal in small novelties and gift items. The space is a bit tight, but we make it work for us. We have shelves going all the way up to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use a ladder to get things down for customers. It can be a bit of a workout every day. We get our stock from various places, and it’s always a bit of a surprise what comes in the shipping boxes. We spend a lot of our day just organizing and re-organizing everything. People in Sri Nagar know us, so we don't have to do much to get them to come in. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the best; we just do our job and go home. The market can be exhausting, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. We take turns sitting on the small stool by the counter. We have some regulars who just come by to chat for a bit about the news. It feels like being part of a big family here in the market. We close up when the rest of the market starts to quiet down for the night and the cleaners start their work.
