Ashrya International Hotel

We are over on Infantry Road at 149, which is really close to the Police Commissioner Office. If you know that area of the city, you know it stays pretty active all through the week. Our place, Ashrya International Hotel, sits right in the middle of all that noise. Working here means you get used to the constant hum of Bangalore traffic and the sound of people talking outside. We do our best to keep the rooms tidy and help out the folks who walk through our doors looking for a place to stay. It’s not a complicated operation. We have the usual hotel stuff—beds, a place to sit, and someone at the desk most of the time to answer the phone. Sometimes we get busy with people coming in for government business because of the offices nearby. Other days it’s just quiet travelers who found us while walking down the street. We don't really do much in the way of fancy talk; we just tell people what’s available and let them settle in. The neighborhood has plenty of small places to eat, so we often spend time giving directions to the local spots that we like. The building itself has its little quirks, like any place that’s been around for a while. We’re just regular people working a job and making sure the hotel stays running day after day. It’s practical and basic. We see the same delivery guys every morning. It’s just how life goes. We keep the lights on and wait for the next guest to arrive.
