We are located at No.149 on the Main Raod of Infantry Road. It’s a pretty easy place to find because we’re right opposite the Police Commissioners Office. If you look behind the Akeshvani building, that’s where we are. Being in such a central part of Bangalore means there is never a quiet moment. The traffic on Infantry Road is constant, and we see the police vehicles moving in and out all day. Ashraya Tours & Travels is basically just a few of us working out of this office. We spend most of our time organizing trips and figuring out routes for people. Sometimes it’s a group tour and other times it’s just a single person heading out of town. We’ve got a lot of files and papers everywhere because that’s how we keep track of things. It isn't a polished corporate setup; it’s more of a place where we sit down and talk through the travel details. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Some people have been booking with us since we first opened our doors here. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the basics to get the job done. The location is the best part of it, even with all the noise from the sirens and the cars. We just keep our heads down and handle the bookings as they come in. It’s a bit cramped with all the brochures but we like it this way. It feels real. We drink some chai when it arrives.
