We have been running Ascon Travel Pvt Ltd out of Indiranagar for a good number of years now. Bangalore is a big city and people are always trying to get somewhere else, so we stay pretty busy. Our office isn't anything too special to look at, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of maps and calendars on the walls. We spend our days looking at flight schedules and trying to figure out the best train routes for people who come in. It is mostly just us sitting around the computers and answering the phone when it rings. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot, with new cafes opening up every week, but we are still here doing the same thing. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to ask customers to wait a bit while the pages load. We do not have a big corporate feel here. It is more like you are sitting in someone’s living room talking about your holiday. We know the local routes well and can usually tell you which bus is better or which airport terminal you need. It is a small team of us. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep the paperwork organized so nobody misses their flight. We do not do those flashy brochures, we just tell you what is available and what it costs. It is just a regular travel shop for regular people who want to go somewhere nice.
