Ascon Holidays has an office on the ground floor of a building on Coles Road in Fraser Town. It’s number 23, right in the heart of everything that goes on in this area. Fraser Town is a great place to be located because of all the good food and the busy, energetic atmosphere on the streets. We spend most of our time sitting at our desks, answering the phones and trying to figure out travel routes and timings for people. It involves a lot of staring at maps and checking various flight schedules on the computer. The ground floor spot makes it very easy for people to just walk in when they are passing by on their way to the market. We have some posters on the walls, but it’s mostly just a practical workspace with a few computers and a printer that never seems to stop running. Sometimes it gets really hectic when everyone wants to travel at the same time, like during the big school holidays. We don't really use big words or make fancy promises we can't keep. We just try to find a way to get you where you want to go. The noise from Coles Road is always there in the background, but it makes the place feel very alive. We often grab a quick snack from one of the nearby stalls when we have a particularly long day. It’s a small operation.
