As A Graphic Designer In Sulekha.Com

I work out of a ground floor space in Mathikere, specifically over in SBM Colony on 4th Cross. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which is good when you’re trying to focus on design work. I’ve been doing graphic design stuff for Sulekha for a bit now. My desk is usually covered in notes and sketches, and there’s always a mug of cold tea somewhere nearby. It’s not a big corporate office with a sign out front, just a practical room where I can get my work done on the computer. Most of my day is spent moving pixels around and trying to get colors to look right on different screens. It’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes the internet acts up when I’m trying to upload big files. I don't really have a big team or fancy equipment, just what I need to produce the graphics that are required. Some days the ideas come easy, and other days I’m just staring at a blank screen for way too long. It’s an honest living and it keeps me busy. People in the neighborhood probably just think I’m playing games on the computer all day, but there’s a lot of clicking involved in making things look decent. I just keep at it, day in and day out, right here in the colony.
