This place is over at Flat No. 002 in the Viswas Rytham building. It’s on the 16th Cross in Jakkur Layout, which is a fairly quiet part of Bangalore if you know the area. We work out of this ground floor space. It’s convenient because we don’t have to deal with stairs when moving things around. The name sounds very official, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation Of India, but inside it’s just us working with tools and materials. Most days are spent looking at measurements or handling the components that come in. Jakkur has grown a lot lately, so there are more buildings popping up around us now. V. Hari Narayana is the name on the door usually. We get people coming in from all over the city, and sometimes from further away in Karnataka. The flat isn't huge, but we make use of every corner for storage and workbenches. It gets a bit dusty with all the work, but we try to keep it organized enough to find what we need. We don't have a big reception desk or a fancy waiting room. People just come in, sit on the chairs we have, and we talk about what they need. It’s practical work. We stay busy from morning until evening, mostly just focusing on the technical side of things and making sure the fittings are right. It's a steady pace here, and we like the rhythm of the work we do.
