We are located at Avenue Road 473, though some people still know it by the old number 177. This part of town is always crowded, no matter what time of day it is. You can hear the bikes and the people shouting all day long out on the street. My family has been around this area for a long time now. The shop itself isn't very big, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer needs without too much trouble. Usually, it is just a lot of moving boxes around and talking to the folks who walk in off the sidewalk. We do not have any fancy signs or bright lights here. It is just a regular place where we do our daily work and try to stay busy. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of all the traffic and the construction nearby, but that is just how it is on Avenue Road. We open up pretty early and stay until the shutters go down in the evening. There is always something to focus on, like checking the shelves or wiping down the counter. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been coming for years. We know their names and what they usually need before they even ask. It is not like those big shopping malls where nobody knows you. Here, it feels a bit more real, even if it is noisy.
