About Architect Vp Anilkumar – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Bengaluru
I’ve been working out of this spot at 181 in Chikka Bellandur for a while now. It’s not a huge office, just a basic workspace where I handle most of the architectural stuff myself or with a bit of help. Architect Vp Anilkumar is the name on the door, but it’s really just a place where the actual work gets done. Chikka Bellandur has changed a lot lately, and there’s always something being built nearby, which keeps things interesting for me. My desk is usually covered in site surveys and half-finished drawings. I don’t really go for the fancy presentations or the high-end marketing stuff you see in the magazines. I’d rather just sit down with a pencil and figure out how to make a floor plan work for a family. There are days when I’m stuck behind the computer screen for ten hours straight, and other days when I’m out walking around plots of land in the sun. It’s a mix of both. People come by with all sorts of ideas, and I try to tell them what’s actually possible versus what’s just a dream they saw online. I try to stay honest about the costs and the time things take. It’s a lot of back and forth with the contractors and the clients. Sometimes it’s stressful, but seeing a house actually get finished makes the long hours at the drawing board worth it in the end. It's good work.
