Apparate Fashion Private Limited is up on the first floor in Domlur Layout. We’re in Krishna Reddy Colony, right on the 4th Main. It's a pretty quiet street compared to the rest of Bangalore. We have two units, number 1 and 2, joined together. It's mostly just desks and racks of clothes. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and checking the fit of different samples. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment comes in. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, one of us just hears the door and goes to see who it is. We’ve been in Domlur for a bit now. The neighbors are nice, mostly other small businesses and some houses. Traffic on the main road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually stay late to finish up the day's work. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. We’re just a small team trying to make decent clothes. Sometimes we argue about the colors or the fabric quality, but we figure it out in the end. It’s honest work. We like the light that comes through the front windows in the morning. It helps when we're trying to see the details on the garments. It’s just us here, doing what we know how to do. No one wears a suit, and we mostly just drink coffee and get through the tasks one by one. The layout is simple and we keep things moving.
