Being at 83 Mahatma Gandhi Road sounds fancy, but we’re just in a regular unit inside Farah Towers. MG Road is the heart of everything in this city, so it’s always loud with horns and people walking by. Our office isn't particularly large. We’ve got a few desks pushed together and a lot of files stacked up on the shelves. The elevator in Farah Towers is old and sometimes has a mind of its own, so many of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. From our window, we can see the tops of the trees and the constant stream of traffic below. It’s a strange mix of being in a corporate hub but feeling like a small family business. At Apna Sapna, we mostly just sit around the main table and figure out the day's plans. There isn't a lot of ceremony here. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We drink tea from the little shop downstairs and eat our lunch at our desks while we talk. The walls are a bit plain, and the carpet is starting to show its age, but it’s a comfortable place to spend the day. We are just a group of people working hard in the middle of a very busy city, doing what we can.
