Apna Gift Home Needs Center is located over in 466 A Block of Electronic City. If you know the area, it gets quite crowded with all the tech folks moving around, but our corner is a bit different. We have a lot of stuff packed into the shelves here, mostly things people need for their houses or a quick gift for a birthday. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get new stock in because the boxes take up all the floor space until we can put things away. The lights in the shop hum a little bit, and we usually have a small radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Working here means you talk to a lot of people every day who are just looking for a simple plastic bucket or maybe a set of glasses. We spend a good chunk of our time dusting the shelves because the road outside is always under some kind of construction and the dust just comes right in. It’s a family-run kind of feel, where we know which regular customers like which brands. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name above the door. Most of the time, we are just sitting on the stools waiting for the next person to walk in. It gets really busy in the evenings when everyone is heading home from their various offices.
