Anjana Gift & Fancy Paradise

Anjana Gift & Fancy Paradise is a small shop we run at 1827 New Thippasandra in Jayanagar East. It is a crowded little spot but we like it that way. We have shelves filled with all sorts of things like plastic toys, colorful bangles, and stationery for school kids. The building is older and the front door squeaks a bit when people come in. We spend a lot of time rearranging the items to make everything fit on the racks. During the festival months, it gets very busy and we hardly have room to move behind the counter. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away. They come in looking for a birthday present or maybe some fancy hair clips for their daughters. We have a lot of shiny wrapping paper rolls tucked in the corner. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to show people the goods we have. It’s not a big corporate store, just a regular place where you can find small gifts. We try to keep the prices fair so the neighbors keep coming back. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people talking. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the families by name. It is a simple life of selling small things that make people a bit happy for a moment.
