I work out of S-3, No.10, in the J.J.Part-2 Apartments on 4th Cross in Bhabani Layout. It’s on School Road in Sadduguntepalya, right near the Chandrodaya Choultry. If you know that area of Bangalore 560029, you know it can get pretty packed with traffic and people. The apartment is basically my workspace, so it’s not some big corporate office with a sign out front. It’s just a regular room where I have my computer, a drafting table, and way too many books. There’s usually a pot of tea going and the sound of the neighborhood coming through the window. It’s a bit of a maze to find the right door sometimes, but once you’re in, it’s just a quiet place to get work done. I don't really have a staff, so it's mostly just me handling everything from the first sketch to the final details. The 4th Cross is usually lined with parked scooters, and you have to dodge them to get to the entrance. It’s a very local, unpretentious way of working. I don't spend money on fancy marketing or a big storefront because I’d rather just focus on the projects I have. Some days the internet is slow or the power goes out, but that’s just part of living in this part of town. I've been here for a while and I like the fact that it feels like a real home office rather than some sterile environment. It’s practical and it works for what I do.
