Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort

Our place is the Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort, but we aren't in a big city. We are located out in Kalangani in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu. It’s a very different pace of life out here compared to places like Chennai or Bangalore. The address belongs to R. Jayaraj, and it’s a family-run kind of operation. We have some land here with trees and places for guests to stay. It’s not a high-tech facility. We focus more on the natural surroundings. We spend a lot of our time doing outdoor work, like keeping the garden tidy and making sure the paths are clear. It’s a lot of manual labor to keep the place looking decent. We have some rooms that are simple but clean. People come here when they want to get away from the noise of the city and just hear the birds for a bit. We don’t have a big marketing budget or glossy brochures. Most of our guests find us through word of mouth or by knowing the family. The weather here can get quite hot, so we have plenty of shade. We try to provide a quiet environment where people can just sit and relax. It’s a humble place and we don’t pretend to be anything else. We are just local people providing a spot for others to take a break. It’s a slow and steady way of life.
