Ananth Computers

You can find us at 147/14 on Mysore Road, right in the Raj Mahal Villas Extension. It’s a decent location, though the traffic out on the main road can be a real headache some days. At Ananth Computers, we mostly spend our time fixing laptops and building desktops for people in the neighborhood. The back room is full of old monitors and spare parts that I might need someday. I try to keep the front desk clear, but there’s always a printer or a keyboard waiting to be picked up. I’ve been working with electronics for years, so it’s second nature to me now. Some people come in because their internet isn’t working, and others just need a new mouse. It’s a small shop, so you’ll usually see me or my helper behind the counter. We don’t have any fancy displays. We just put the boxes out where people can see them. Sometimes a customer will stay and chat for half an hour about tech stuff. I don’t mind it much. The building is an older one, but it stays cool enough in the shade. We open up around ten and usually stay until the sun goes down. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t make a big fuss about things, we just try to get the repairs done on time. I’ve got a small radio that plays in the background to keep things from being too quiet. My neighbor often drops by to talk about the cricket scores.
