Anand Novelties is tucked away on S R Road in Kalasipalyam. It’s at number 2. If you know Kalasipalyam, you know it’s always moving. There are buses and trucks everywhere, and the noise never really stops. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. We spend our mornings opening up and checking the stock that came in. The shelves are full of all sorts of things. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. You might have to squeeze past a box or two to get to the back. We’ve been on S R Road for years. The floor is a bit worn from all the feet walking over it, but it holds up. We don’t really do much decorating. The products themselves are what fill the space. Customers come in looking for specific items, and we usually know exactly which pile it’s buried under. It gets dusty because of the road outside, so we’re always wiping things down. Rain makes the street a bit messy, but business keeps going. We like the energy of the market area. It feels like the heart of the city here. There’s always someone asking for something new or just stopping by to see what’s arrived. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with the inventory. It is a simple way to spend the day, surrounded by all these different goods.
