Amrutha Computers

Our shop is tucked away in Parekh Market, right off Brigade Road. If you know MG Road 11, you've probably walked past us a dozen times without noticing. Amrutha Computers isn't a massive showroom. It’s mostly just desks, stacks of spare parts, and a lot of tangled cables in the back room. We spend most of our mornings opening up cases and blowing dust out of fans. People bring in laptops that won't start or want a new keyboard because their old one finally gave up. It’s loud out on the street, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of clicking keys and maybe a radio playing softly in the corner. We deal with whatever comes through the door. Some days it’s a student needing a cheap mouse, other days it’s someone worried about their old hard drive making clicking noises. We’ve seen about every kind of computer problem you can imagine over the years. The floor gets a bit dusty from all the foot traffic in the market, but we try to keep the workbenches clear for the next job. We don't have fancy uniforms or a front desk person. Usually, whoever is free just looks up and says hello when someone walks in. It’s a busy part of town, and we’re just glad to have our small space here to fix things for people. It’s practical work, and it keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down in the evening.
