Amma Tours And Travels is tucked away in Shivanandanagar, right over in the Mudala Palya part of Vijayanagar. We are at No. 2 on the 1st Main, and most people find us by looking for the Vijaya Bank that is close by. The street gets a bit crowded with two-wheelers in the evenings, but it is easy enough to spot our door. We have been here for a while now, just helping neighbors and folks from the area get where they need to go. Whether it is a quick trip across Bangalore or something longer, we just handle the cars and the drivers. The office isn't very big, mostly just a desk and some old maps on the wall that we probably should replace one day. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers on the radio or mobile, making sure they aren't stuck in that bad traffic near the main junction. It gets a bit noisy when the buses go past, but we are used to it by now. We don't do any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here and they drop in when they need a vehicle. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break for five minutes. It is a local business, run by local people who know these roads better than anyone else. We just try to keep the cars running and the schedules on time.
