American Express

This isn't the big American Express office you might see in a movie. We are located in Flat No. 02 of the North Cote Apartments. It is right on the ground floor. We are in St. Thomas Town in Bangalore. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood with a lot of trees and old houses. Our office feels more like a home than a bank. We have a small sign, but it’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Being on the ground floor means we see people walking their dogs or kids coming home from school. It’s a nice change from a high-rise building. We handle various tasks here, mostly administrative stuff that keeps things running behind the scenes. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of paperwork to go through. We have a couple of desks squeezed in and a tiny kitchen where we make tea. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a lobby with fancy chairs. If you come by, you’re basically walking into our workspace. We like being in St. Thomas Town because it’s not as chaotic as the city center. We can actually hear the birds sometimes. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just show up every morning and get through our list of things to do. It’s just a small group of us working out of an apartment flat. It’s a good way to spend the workday without all the extra noise.
