So, American Express is located over at 165, 6th Cross in Teacher’s Colony. This is part of Banashankari 2nd Stage, or BSK 2nd Stage as most people call it here in Bangalore. It’s a nice enough area, lots of trees and houses around us. The building isn’t one of those massive skyscrapers; it’s more tucked into the neighborhood. Being in Teacher’s Colony gives it a bit of a different feel than the central business districts. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day, sitting at our desks and making sure everything is moving along. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, really. The office isn’t perfect—sometimes the printer jams or we run out of milk for tea—but we manage. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s a job and we do it. If you’re looking for us, 6th Cross is pretty easy to find once you’re in the colony. You’ll see the number 165 on the gate. We’ve got a small team here and everyone knows each other well. It’s not a formal place where you have to wear a suit every day. We just focus on getting through the tasks we have. It gets quiet in the evenings which is nice. Most of us have lived in Bangalore a long time and appreciate this part of town. We just try to get the work done right.
