It’s a pretty quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the main market, which is nice for working. American Express Bank Travel Related Services has been operating out of this spot in Bangalore for a while. We deal with travel bookings and all the paperwork that goes with it. The office is tucked away in a residential-looking building, so it feels more like a local spot than a big bank branch. We have a few desks and some old filing cabinets filled with travel documents. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the Jayanagar area. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. We don't really do much marketing. People just know we are here on the corner. Working in travel means things can get hectic during the holiday seasons, but usually, it’s just a steady flow of work. We like it here because it’s easy to get to and the trees on 8th Main provide some good shade during the summer months. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a local guy who brings us tea in the morning.
