Ambaji Hardware

Ambaji Hardware is up here on the 2nd floor at 6 Dasarahalli. It is a bit of a climb with the stairs but we are here every day from the morning until the evening. Usually, the shop is full of boxes and metal things like nails, screws, and tools that people in the neighborhood need for their homes. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much because of the construction nearby but we try to keep things organized on the shelves. It’s not a big fancy showroom or anything like that. We just have what people usually ask for when they are fixing a pipe or putting up a shelf. The light in the hallway is sometimes flickering, and we keep meaning to fix it, but there is always something else to do first. Customers come in and show us a broken part and we look through the bins to find a match. Dasarahalli is a busy place so there is always noise from the street coming up to the second floor. We have been here for a while now and know most of the people who walk by. It’s a simple setup with a wooden desk and a lot of heavy items piled up. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right size of bolt because we have so many different types tucked away in the back corners. We don't really do much fancy talk, just give people what they need and they go on their way. There is a tea stall just down the road where we go for a break, and that is basically how our days go.
