Amarnath S N is located up on the 2nd Floor at 4 Balepet. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially if you’re carrying anything heavy. Pooranaiah Chatram Road is always packed with people and carts, so just getting to the front door can be an adventure some days. We are quite close to the Corporate Police Station, so there are always sirens or police vehicles moving around, which adds to the general noise of the market. The office is basically one large room with a high ceiling and a lot of wooden shelves. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the floorboards have those worn-down patches where people always stand. It’s not the quietest place to work because Balepet is a hub of activity from early morning until late at night. You can hear the vendors shouting and the bells of the temples nearby. We keep the windows open mostly to get a breeze, but that also means the dust from the street settles on everything. We spend a lot of time organizing things and talking to people who drop in without calling first. It’s a very traditional part of town, and we like being in the thick of it. There’s no lobby or fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic chairs and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down. It's a busy life but we are used to the noise.
