Amarbabu M

Avenue Road is always a mess, and that’s where you’ll find me. I’m at 612 Avenue Road, on the 2nd floor of the Chandra Building. Amarbabu M is just the name on the door. To get here, you have to push through the crowds of shoppers and the people selling books on the pavement. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep and the building has that old smell of paper and dust. I’ve been in this spot for a while now. It’s a small office, nothing special to look at, but it works for what I do. Sometimes it’s so loud outside with the shouting and the horns that I have to close the window, even if it gets hot. People come up here to talk about business or legal things, and we just sit and go through it. It’s a very traditional way of working. I don't use much technology besides the basics. Most of my day is spent talking to people or reading through files. Chandra Building has several other small offices like mine. We all just mind our own business and try to get through the day. By the time I leave in the evening, the street is still full of people. It’s a tiring place to be, but it’s where everything happens in this city.
