Alpha Travel Aid

Alpha Travel Aid is located at 54, Wilson Garden, which is an older and greener part of Bangalore. Even though the city is changing fast, this neighborhood still feels a bit more traditional. Our office is a small setup on the ground floor of an older building. If you are driving by too fast, you might actually miss the entrance because there are trees partially blocking the view. Inside, we have a few desks, some maps pinned to the walls, and several large registers where we write things down. We have been in this location for many years. The floors are made of that old-style stone that stays relatively cool. We do not have air conditioning, so we just leave the windows open and let the fans run. Most of our day involves talking to people on the phone or helping walk-in customers figure out their travel routes. It can get a bit loud when all the phones start ringing at the same time. We do not have a formal dress code here. We just wear what is comfortable for the Bangalore weather. During the monsoon season, the roof leaks a little bit in the far corner, so we just move the chairs out of the way. It is a very casual and friendly environment. Most of the people who come to see us are from the surrounding houses and have known us for a long time.
