Alpha Air Travels

Alpha Air Travels is easy to find because we are right opposite the Kanara Bank at 80 Shivaji Nagar. It’s a small office, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. There are posters of different countries on the walls, though some of them are starting to fade from the sunlight coming through the front window. We spend our days looking up flights, checking visa rules, and trying to help people get the best dates for their trips. It’s not a glamorous job, despite what people think about travel. There is a lot of waiting on hold with airlines and filling out long forms that have to be exactly right. We get all sorts of people walking in, from students going abroad for the first time to families visiting relatives. Some days the phone doesn't stop ringing, and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the clock ticking. We don't have any fancy software to do the work; it’s mostly just us and our keyboards. The tea stall around the corner is where we get our morning chai, and the guys from the bank often come over to chat during their breaks. We’ve been in Shivaji Nagar for a good stretch of time now. We aren't trying to be a big global chain. We just like helping the people in our neighborhood get where they need to go without too much fuss.
