We are right across from the Bata Showroom, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re stuck in the Madivala traffic. It’s a busy spot. There is always someone coming in asking about bus timings or train tickets. The phones ring quite a bit. We have a couple of desks and some posters on the wall that have been there for years. Madivala is always moving, especially at night when all the long-distance buses start arriving. Our office feels that energy. It’s not a very large space, just enough for the staff and a few customers to sit while we look things up on the computer. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to tell people to wait a bit. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go from this address. Some are going on holiday, others are just trying to get home. It’s a practical place. We don’t have fancy carpets or expensive furniture.
