We are over at number 43/41 in Nanjappa Layout, which is part of the Adugodi area. It’s a bit of a residential-meets-commercial neighborhood, so you get a mix of houses and small businesses. Our place is quite easy to spot once you get into the layout. We work on pre-engineered buildings, which means there’s often a lot of talk about steel and construction schedules going on. The office isn't very big, and the walls are covered with sketches and maps of different sites. It can get a bit noisy when the traffic picks up on the main road nearby. We have a few desks pushed together and everyone just sits wherever there is space. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do stay busy with phone calls and checking on various projects. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that; most of us just wear what’s comfortable for a day of work. There is a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and the pot is usually empty by noon. We’ve been in Adugodi for some time now and we like the local feel of the place. It’s not like those high-end corporate offices in the tech parks. It’s just a regular workspace where we deal with the daily grind of the construction business without any extra shine. We just show up every morning and handle the work that comes our way until it's done.
