We operate out of Parangot House in Kodimatha, which is a part of Kottayam in Kerala. It’s an old-school way of doing things, running the business from a house rather than some glass building. We handle all sorts of trade and enterprise stuff from here. Being in Kottayam means we are surrounded by greenery and it’s usually quite humid. The office is really just a few rooms set up with desks and filing cabinets. We’ve been here for years, and most people in the neighborhood know the Parangot name. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even when we are busy with big orders. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries. There isn’t a lot of flash here, just a lot of honest work. We drink a lot of local tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork that piles up. Sometimes the rain in Kerala makes everything slow down, but we just keep at it. We manage everything from this one spot, from the initial calls to the final accounts. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't use fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and paper still work best for us. If you come by, you’ll probably see us just working away or loading up a vehicle near the gate. We’ve got a small shed out back for storage too. It’s been this way for a long time and we don't see any reason to change it. We just focus on keeping our customers happy.
