Alchemist

This place feels more like a house than a big corporate office because it is in a residential area. We like it that way. It’s quiet and there are trees outside. We have a few rooms turned into workspaces. It gets a bit tight when everyone shows up at the same time. Bangalore traffic is a nightmare, so most of us are usually a few minutes late every morning. We do a lot of different things here, mostly involving recruitment and talking to people. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time during breaks. We’ve got an old kettle that takes forever to boil. The neighborhood is pretty friendly, and we know the guys at the corner shop by name. Sometimes we work late into the evening, and the streetlights outside flick on one by one. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but we stay busy. We don’t have any fancy posters or slogans on the walls. We just have a whiteboard with a list of things to do that never seems to get shorter. It’s a modest way of doing things, but it works for us. We just try to help people out and keep our own heads above water while doing it for the long run every single week.
