If you walk down 22nd Cross in Jayanagar, you’ll find us at number 326. We are right there in the 1st and 3rd Block East area, which is a pretty nice part of town with all the trees and old houses. Alaya Architecture And Interior Design is basically just a group of us sitting around tables with drawings and samples scattered everywhere. It's not a showroom where everything is perfect. Usually, there are rolls of paper in the corner and fabric swatches taking up all the desk space. We spend a lot of time talking about walls and lights and where things should go. Jayanagar is a busy place, so there's always the sound of scooters and people outside our windows while we work. We've been in this spot for a bit, and the neighborhood feels like home. Sometimes we step out for a coffee nearby when our brains get tired of looking at floor plans. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring to make sure we didn’t miss a spot. We don't use fancy titles much here. Everyone just kind of jumps in and does what needs to be done for the day. It’s a practical way to run things, even if the office gets a bit crowded sometimes with all the samples we keep collecting from different vendors. We just focus on the drawings and getting the measurements right before the day ends.
