Our office is located on Car Street in Ulsoor, right on the first floor. It’s a busy little spot, especially being right behind the Indian Bank. We’ve been at 27 Ulsoor for a good stretch of time now. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the floorboards creak when you walk toward the back. We do a lot of layout work and talking to clients on the phone. It’s not like those big agencies you see on TV; we’re just a small crew trying to keep up with deadlines. The desks are usually covered in proofs and old newspapers. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the windows to use the natural light until it comes back on. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Parking is always a headache on this street, so most of us just take the bus or walk from the nearby lanes. We get a lot of walk-ins who are just looking for something small, and we try to help them out as best as we can. It’s a lot of staring at screens and marking up papers with red pens. At the end of the day, we just lock up and head out into the Ulsoor traffic like everyone else. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast. We just do the work.
