Akshaya Travels

Akshaya Travels is based out of a small office at 6 Commander Street in Richmond Town. It’s an old part of the city, and we’ve been operating from this same building for quite a while. We mostly deal with booking cars and organizing small trips for people living nearby. Our office is simple, just a few phones, some mismatched chairs, and some old maps on the wall. The traffic on Commander Street can be a total nightmare in the afternoons, but our drivers have been around and know the shortcuts. We aren't a big corporate agency with uniforms. It's just me and a couple of assistants handling the phone calls all day. Sometimes the lines are busy, so you might have to call back twice to get through. We try to keep our cars clean, but with the Bangalore dust, it's a constant battle every single day. Most of our clients are families from around Richmond Town who have been using our services for years. We know which routes are best for avoiding the worst traffic jams near the center. It’s a lot of coordination work, making sure drivers show up on time. Sometimes a car breaks down or a driver gets sick at the last minute, and then it’s a scramble to fix things, but we always manage. We don't have a fancy website with online booking. People usually just call or drop by to talk about where they want to go. It’s more personal.
