We are located at 4024, on the first floor of a building on 17th Main, right at the 1st Cross in HAL 2nd Stage. It is a pretty well-known part of the city, and the streets are laid out in a way that makes sense once you have been here a few times. Being on the first floor is convenient because we don't have to wait for an elevator. The office has big windows that let in a lot of light, though we usually keep the blinds halfway down to stop the glare on our screens. There are trees along the road outside, which is a nice change from the more industrial parts of town. Inside, the space is divided into a few sections with partitions that are getting a bit old. We have a water cooler that makes a loud bubbling noise every ten minutes, which we have all just gotten used to. The team sits in a cluster of desks near the back. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls or anything like that. Instead, we have a few calendars and some scribbled notes pinned to the boards. HAL 2nd Stage is a decent place to work, with plenty of spots nearby to grab a coffee or a quick bite. We show up, do the software work that is expected of us, and head out when the day is done. It is a simple, no-nonsense setup for our daily operations.
