Akay Exports

We’ve been at 133 for a while now, right where Bvk Iyengar Road meets the Mahatma Gandhi Road area. It gets busy around here, especially in the mornings when the trucks try to navigate the narrow spots. Akay Exports is just us mostly, dealing with the paperwork and the boxes that go out to different places. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit of a mess, but we manage to stay dry. People walk past the door all day heading toward the main market area. It’s a lot of traffic, honestly, and it never really stops. We have the office set up so we can see what’s happening outside the window. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular spot where we get the work done. Most days start with tea and then checking what needs to be moved or packed. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark near the corner of the two roads. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just making sure the labels are right on the packages. It’s loud outside because of the honking, but that’s just how it is on Mahatma Gandhi Road. We’ve seen the neighbors change over the years, shops closing and new ones opening up. We stay in our lane and keep the exports moving as best as we can. It’s a lot of manual work, lugging stuff around and stacking. Sometimes we run out of space, so we have to stack things high. It’s just how we operate here at our little corner.
