Airlift

Airlift is run out of a place called Sapthagiri Nilaya, which is at number 17, 8th Main, 4th Cross in Vidyaranyapura. It’s basically a residential house turned into a workspace, which is pretty common in this part of Bangalore. H. Kiran Kumar is the name associated with it, and we keep things very low-key here. Vidyaranyapura is a quiet neighborhood, mostly full of families and small local shops. Working from a house like Sapthagiri Nilaya means it doesn't feel like a cold office at all. We sit in what used to be living rooms and bedrooms, doing our work on laptops and keeping track of our records. There is a small gate outside and some plants. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. People in the area just know us as the neighbors who do business from that house. Our day usually starts in the morning and goes on until we finish what we need to do. We don't have a lot of formal meetings; we just talk to each other across the room if we need something. It’s an honest way to work, and we don't have to deal with the stress of a huge corporate building. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized in our own way. It is a very normal, local way of doing things. We like being in this part of the city.
