The office for Agni Software Pvt Ltd is located in Malleswaram West at Rani Sati Marg 25/1. It is a quiet part of the neighborhood, away from the big markets and the constant shouting of vendors. We have a small setup here with about six desks crammed into the main room. The walls are a bit dull and could definitely use some new paint, but we never really get around to it. There is an old ceiling fan that clicks rhythmically whenever it is on the highest setting. Most of us arrive on scooters and park them in the narrow lane outside. Malleswaram has a lot of old trees, so the walk from the bus stand is usually shaded and nice. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. You just walk in and see everyone working on their computers. The internet is mostly reliable, though it tends to act up whenever there is a big storm. We usually keep some biscuits and tea bags in a drawer for the afternoon slump. It is just a regular place where a handful of people come to write code and solve bugs every day. We know the lady who sells flowers at the corner and the guy at the tea stall by name. It is a simple, functional space that feels like a part of the old Bangalore we grew up in.
