Aga Fruits is tucked away at number 14 in Langford Town. It’s an older part of town with a lot of character. Our place is basically a big warehouse with a small area for the desk work. We deal with all kinds of fruit, so there’s always a lot of coming and going. The trucks arrive early, sometimes waking up the street, but we try to be quick about it. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of boxes and the sound of the fans. It’s not the most glamorous job. You spend a lot of time checking for bruises or making sure things aren't getting too ripe too fast. We have a small crew. We’ve worked together for a long time, so we don’t need to say much to get the job done. Langford Town is a nice place to be based. It feels more like a community than just a business district. Our address at 14 isn't hard to find if you know the area. We don't have any big banners or anything. People who need to find us usually know where we are. It’s just a steady, everyday business. We keep our heads down and focus on the produce. Every season brings something different, which keeps things from getting too boring. We don't have any glossy brochures.
